The Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology Public Union was elected as a full member from the nomination of the European Society of Cardiology on March 25, 2011.

Azerbaijan Cardiology Society Public Union is a Non-Governmental Organization United on the Basis of Common Interests, Voluntary, Established on the Principles of Legal Equality of Its Members, It Does Not Consider Earning Income as the Main Purpose of Its Activity and Does Not Divide the Earned Income Among Its Members, and Its Activity Covers the Territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The main goal of the Public Union of the Azerbaijan Cardiology Society is to help the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the Republic of Azerbaijan reach the world level.

To achieve this goal, AKC Performs the following Duties:

• To increase the knowledge of cardiologists in this field and to promote the achievements of the world science of cardiology in Azerbaijan;
  Studying the Cause of the Spread of Cardiovascular Diseases in Azerbaijan;
  Increasing the Professional Level of Cardiologists;
  To help the development of cooperation between cardiologists of Azerbaijan and cardiologists of Europe and other countries;

Activities of the Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology Public Union:

• Organizes various courses and seminars, round tables and meetings, exhibitions, conferences, charity marathons and other mass cultural events;
  Freely Disseminates Information About Its Purposes and Activities, Establishes Printed Publications According to Legislation;

The Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology is part of the structure of the Public Union:
